Michigan Weddings - Blue and Peach

We had one of our final mockups for a bride getting married in Bay City and of course I had to share!  The bride chose a tall glass vase with an arrangement of lilies in white, and peach, white and peach garden roses, white hydrangea and stock, and my personal favorite, pale blue hydrangea, with white dendrobium orchids giving the overall statement effect.  These centerpieces will be set against navy blue tablecloths, tea lights, and a bed of ivory roses.

Michigan Wedding – Bridesmaid Dress Colors

Besides marrying the person you love, the next best thing in the planning process is choosing the girls that will be standing next to you on your special day, and choosing the color they will wear says a lot about your wedding and your personality. It is perfectly acceptable to choose your favorite color as a complementing shade to your color palette, as well as utilizing it for the bridesmaid’s dresses. Each color says something different:
Purple – Expresses your creativity, your desire of individuality, and your confidence in your new life
Pink – Expresses delicacy and femininity. When in pink, the bridesmaids portray a sense of romance
Red – The color of love expresses energy and power. It highlights the intense love and passion you feel on your big day
Blue – Surrounds you with a positive ambiance
Green – Is said to symbolize freshness and demonstrates joy. It suggests hope, luck and fertility
Orange/Yellow – Evokes energy and humor

Michigan Weddings-Spring Flowers

Spring is in the air and our favorite flowers are getting ready to bloom!  Tulips are beautiful in a Spring wedding bouquet, they come in so many different shades and can be romantic or modern.  For a twist on the standard tulip, try a ruffled parrot tulip instead.  Peonies evoke complete romance, and come in white, pink, red, and fuchsia.  They are beautiful in a bouquet all by themselves, but just as pretty in a mixed bouquet too!  And of course, we can't forget lily of the valley.  A delicate white flower with green stems lends itself to a green and white color palette in whatever type of wedding style that you see fit!
