Your Michigan Wedding-Children or No Children?

I say children all the way!  They don't have to stay the length of the reception and they can leave tired and fulfilled from a wonderful and very memorable day!  Besides, think of all the funny or adorably cute moments that can occur!

Michigan Wedding Sneak Peek

So as a florist, we offer a mockup of our client's tablescape.  If you haven't heard of this term before, it's where we construct and arrange your reception centerpiece pre-wedding.  We offer to do it at the venue, complete with linens. This is a perfect way to see how your centerpiece will come together in the reception space.  Below are two mock tablescapes, with two very different looks.  The purple centerpiece will be arranged in June at Castle Farms in Charlevoix, MI.  The green and white centerpiece will be arranged at Troppo in East Lansing, MI.

The Castle Farm's bridesmaids will be wearing a dark purple dress, and so the lighter shades of purple will complement the darker purple quite nicely, we always suggest to use lighter shades or complementing shades in flowers and linens then what your bridesmaids will be wearing.  We chose purple hydrangea, and two different colors of stock for this arrangement.

Our Troppo bride wanted a fresh and lush look with the flowers, but a rich and elegant look with her linens. We chose white anemones, white and green hydrangea, green hypericum berry, white spray roses, and white freesia.  We also constructed a small arrangement of flowers that will serve as the couple's wedding favor.  This bride's ivory satin linen matches her dress.

White & Yellow - Nautical Bouquet

The below nautical bouquet, done by ele3 Event Design & Planning, makes the perfect bouquet for any lakeside or beach wedding.  The recipe for this darling bouquet is White Garden Roses, White Freesia, hints of warm Yellow Ranunculus & Mini Calla Lilies accented with a nautical flare with seashells sprinkled throughout.  The handle of the bouquet was wrapped in grosgrain navy blue ribbon & tied off with white rope for extra texture.
