Michigan Photographers - Modern Photographics

I love this engagement session done by Modern Photographics!  The pops of color and vintage feel is spectacular!  ele3 Event Design & Planning had the pleasure of working with Modern Photographics back in April for Christopher and Rachel's wedding.   The sweet couple below is mimicking Walt Disney's new classic "Up".  If you have seen "Up" you know the love story that unravels, and if you have not seen the movie, I highly recommend you rent it over the weekend.  Happy Friday everyone and enjoy these fun photos!

Beth and Chad

Beth and Chad are a cute, trendy couple that we had the pleasure of working with for their August wedding.  From the minute we met them they wanted downtown Grand Rapids as their destination spot for a modern wedding, with a purple and chartreuse color scheme. Married at Rosa Parks Circle, with a hors d' oeuvres reception at McFadden's, complete with bicyle taxis, a short white dress, and mile high purple heels, this wedding was truly chic!  The exquisite Phrene photographed the day, and we got to coordinate!

Sherrie and Mike

Sherrie and Mike were married at Egypt Valley Country Club on Saturday September 25th.  It was an outdoor ceremony on the Ridge Course, hole 10 and the weather held off for the lovely event!  Sherrie and Mike wanted simple but elegant decor, as well as seasonal flowers in a black, white, and purple color scheme.  We provided them with white mums, which are definitely in season, white roses, and purple statice, a filler flower. The elegance was carried throughout with pearl pushpins, pearlized bracelet corsages, black satin bows, and black and white table linens and of course candles, can't forget the candles!

Michigan Wedding-Purple Bouquets at English Inn

We finally are able to share some beautiful floral shots of our bride Sara's wedding at the English Inn, in Eaton Rapids.  The weather held off, and they were able to marry outside under the pergola by the river, a breathtaking venue for pictures!

With Sara's vision we created designs that reflected the true English setting, but we were also able to bring in Sara's cute and trendy personality with her deep purple color palette.  Sara's bouquet consisted of cream cabbage roses, lavender stock, and lavender lisianthus.  Her bridesmaid's bouquets consisted of deep purple stock, and deep purple lisianthus.

The ballroom reflected the English style ambiance that Sara was going for, with silver pedastal bowls filled with tons of purple flowers, sconce style candles, chair covers and lavender sashes, and a wrought iron easels to hold the table numbers.  Again her modern side shined through with the favors, she had purple Jones Soda customized for her guests, and her bridesmaids wore steel gray knee length dresses.

Jen and Nathan

The lovely, and fabulous Jennifer Orr of Shutterbug Photography, married on August 21st at Kent Country Club in Grand Rapids.  Jen had Kai and Kaley Heeringa photograph the gorgeous day, and the ele3 girls, as Jen calls us, were honored to create her wedding party flowers and decor!

Jen loves peach, not the 80's peach, but the beautiful, rich, muted peach.  In fact, Jen owns this color like no other person we know, I think it was meant for her!  Her wedding bouquet was a mix of peach and cream cabbage roses, peach poppies, and a little bit of brown angel wire for color and texture.  It was wrapped in peach satin ribbon adorned with her grandmother's crystal brooch, and pictures of those who have passed in her family, how special and personal is that?  We made wrist corsages for the bridesmaids out of cabbage roses and hypericum berry with a little bit of crystal bling in the centers to match Jen's bouquet.

The ballroom decor consisted of peach tulle on the head table, peach tulle runners on the guests tables, and peach tulle chair bows, it looked lovely against the mahogany queen anne chairs at Kent!  By the way, Jen's dress was all tulle too!  The guests tables featured two types of centerpieces, a tulip style, globe vase filled with manzanita branches, peach roses, and dripping with crystals.  The other tables featured luminaries that Jen designed herself, and little bud vases filled with peach roses. Absolutely gorgeous, just like Jen!

Thank you to Kai and Kaley for the below picture.
